Project Manager

Spur Design is looking for a full-time Project Manager to join our dynamic design team. The ideal candidate is organized, a motivated self-starter, detail oriented, and collaborative.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Support the management of multiple projects from inception through completion and are primarily responsible for managing client expectations and ensuring that delivery meets expectations

  • Ensure team knows and understands the project vision and scope of work

  • Participate in client meetings

  • Obtain necessary client approvals

  • Create and manage project schedule milestones, both internal and external

  • Facilitate the documentation of meetings and work sessions

  • Generate reports

  • Maintain team morale

  • Assist with document production as needed

  • Actively manage project communications and documentation, and project administrative tasks

  • Ensure that internal communication is directed to the appropriate people and that a prompt and adequate response is made to any concerns raised

  • Track project labor hours

  • Identify potential exposure to risks and propose mitigation methods

  • Provide oversight and assistance in managing a project BIM execution plan

  • Establish and maintain project Newforma files and sub-consultant access

  • Proactively manage day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope

  • Travel for but not limited to site-visits, training, and collaboration

  • Review internal and external work-in-progress as well as deliverables

  • Act as primary contact to sub-consultants at an administrative level and coordinate exchanges related to assigned project deliverables and scheduling

  • Work with administrative staff on production of design binders and their timely distribution

  • Document all client review comments and distribute to design team for responses

  • Coordinate with accounting for invoice submission to client

Required Qualifications:

  • NAAB Accredited degree preferred

  • 5+ year’s experience in project management

  • Architectural Licensed professional preferred

  • Proficient in Microsoft Project and Bluebeam Revu

Electrical Designer/EIT

Spur Design is looking for a full-time Electrical EIT to join our dynamic engineering team working on complex and essential power systems for healthcare and aviation sector projects. The ideal candidate is organized, a self-starter, detail oriented, and collaborative.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Provide electrical engineering design and documentation on projects within Spur Design offices including client liaison, site investigations, design, contract documentation and construction administration.

  • Perform electrical engineering tasks including, but not limited to, production of contract documents, specifications, design narratives, electrical calculations, and submission packages.

  • Take responsibility for time management of assigned jobs.  Keep an accurate daily record of the time spent on each assigned job.

  • Travel for but not limited to site visits, professional collaboration, satellite office visits.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an ABET accredited four-year college or university; electrical engineering, architectural engineering, electronics, or related field

  • Previous related experience is a plus

  • Have passed or plan to take an NCEES approved FE (fundamentals of engineering) exam

  • Able to balance deadlines, responsiveness, and maintain the quality of both

  • Willing to learn and grow

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a high attention to detail

  • Proficiency with various software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Bluebeam, etc.

  • Drafting knowledge and experience with AutoCAD and Revit is a plus

Electrical Engineer

Job Requirements:

  • Thorough understanding of building/electrical codes

  • Experience writing specifications

  • Able to work with and oversee junior staff

  • Ability to balance varying-paced deadlines and responsiveness while maintaining quality and a high attention to detail

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to analyze and solve technical problems quickly and effectively

  • Proficiency with various software including Work, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Bluebeam, etc.

Graphic Designer and Social Media Admin

Job Requirements:

  • Portfolio of professional graphic design work REQUIRED.

  • Demonstrated ability to follow brand standards/guidelines when designing branded materials and content.

  • Coordinate and organize large amounts of technical and graphical information, including photos, proposal content, external subconsultant data, and marketing materials.

  • Quick learner – will need to get up to speed in the AE industry quickly in order to make an impact in our marketing

  • Previous experience growing a social media audience and producing engaging content for professional brands (your personal social media does not count).

  • Write and edit engaging social media content.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Highly detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
