New Dental Clinic
Albuquerque, NM
Client
New Mexico VAHCS
Size
16,500 SF
Construction Cost
$8,500,000
Construction Date
N/A
Additional Information
This Dental Clinic was to be developed on an existing parking lot adjacent to the existing VA hospital. Site access, parking impact, photo-voltaic (PV) impact and site drainage were key concerns throughout design development of this clinic and site. Also taken into consideration was the future planning of a new Audiology Clinic to be located adjacent to the new dental clinic.
The floorplan includes two distinct wings, general dentistry and specialization, both located along opposite perimeters of the building to provide patients with optimum daylighting and views. Centralized support spaces linking the wings were to provide for greater productivity and enable the dental team to provide the best Veteran Centered care to their patients.
Spur Design issued 100% Construction Documents but the project was canceled due to budget restraints.
